Danish hanging lamp called Priest's Collar (also Symfoni or Symphoni) designed in 1966 by Claus Bolby. They were manufactured by the designer himself in the basement of his home under the company name Cebo Industri.
The lamp was initially designed in 1966 in a large format (80 cm) for a strikingly modern church in Strandby (Denmark). She was then given the name Priest's Collar because it symbolizes the collar of a priest. A year later, in 1967, it was also produced in a smaller size as home lighting under the name Symfoni.
The lamp consists of a metal tube with slats in clear acrylic. The light source radiates through the tube along the acrylic, which creates a beautiful and special effect.
The lamps designed by Claus Bolby have now become coveted vintage objects, with this Symfoni being a highlight. The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition. All acrylic is in beautiful condition without cracks. There are only minor signs of use on the metal part at the top in the form of light scratches and light dents (see photo). However, in personal opinion these are not disturbing.
