Set of 2 design wall lamps from the 1960s manufactured by German Honsel Leuchten.
These lamps were made in different sizes including this one of 33 cm. The simple but ingenious design makes this wall light a real eye-catcher.
Charlotte Perriand (partner of Le Corbusier) used these lamps in the apartments of the French ski resort 'Les Arcs'. Indeed, as a visionary designer, she coordinated the development of this unique winter sports village for 20 years.
Also, the wall lamp gained fame through its use in Stanley Kubrick's cult film 'A Clockwork Orange.'
One can use different types of (incandescent) lamps but the lamp really comes into its own when using a head mirror lamp. This is because it casts a soft light on the aluminum bowl and the wall behind it.
Price is for both lamps together. Both lamps are in nice vintage condition with some minor signs of use that are not distracting.
