MDF Italia Tense table, black, carbonized wood
Black (carbonized wood) MDF Italia Tense table, a design by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga.
Tense is a slim and sleekly designed table that provides a stable whole due to a unique construction and use of materials. Tense has a leg and leaf thickness of only 35 millimeters. The top is mitred to the four legs that are on the corners, creating optimal space between the legs for placing chairs.
The design is made from solid oak and has a unique 'charred' finish. This has been created using a natural acid treatment, which also ensures that the gradations of the wood are beautifully visible. The design was then treated with a matte lacquer.
