This place was once an oasis of peace where flowers and plants enjoyed fresh water in the pleasant climate. Until that one day the gardener left the door open and never returned. Since then, the winter garden has been surrounded only by some naughty weeds that creep in through windows. A few lanterns can still tell how peaceful it once was here.
Traveling and photographing with a fascination for abandoned architecture and faded glory, Jef Peeters seeks and explores lost and forgotten places to be rediscovered. He captures the soul and forgotten stories and turns them into narrative images.
