Oil on a panel, texturing, application The painting made in the 60s, the artist experimented this time and was looking for his personal style. Love story and drama is very popular genre for Jean-Marie Planque, looking through his art evolution. On the painting you can see two silhouettes, by shapes it is most likely a man and a woman. It’s not very obvious, the artist seems to be hiding them from us. They are very close to each other and their faces are behind the red tissue, attached to the panel. This piece of canvas draws attention to itself, thereby making the couple’s likely kiss more personal and gives extra structure and volume to the composition at the same time. The work is framed in a good quality frame (American frame) and ready to be hung on a wall as soon as you get it. Beautiful work, don’t miss the chance to get it in your collection or your interior The work has some small scratches and chips, but it looks like a part of art. Hand signed Biography of the artist: Jean-Marie Planque, born in Tournai, Belgium, in 1932, pursued Fine Art studies at various academies. After completing his courses, he chose to dedicate his free time to art rather than pursuing a commercial career. Influenced by Belgian Surrealist Marcel Moreau, whose text "The Planque Effect" elucidates his friend's work, Planque's art bears the mark of literary influences such as Louis-Ferdinand Céline, Louis Aragon, and even Léo Ferré.
