Rare! This beautiful Jonsberg vase was designed by the famous Dutch designer Hella Jongerius for IKEA's PS collection. This series of limited edition vases was launched in 2005. They are partly handmade.
This heavy, imposing floor vase came in four different designs, and different ceramic techniques were used for the same archetypal shape, both earthenware and porcelain. The colors and decorations also differ per vase and refer to different parts of the world: the Soviet Union, Africa, Asia and Europe.
This terra cotta "Africa" vase is the rarest of the series. Perhaps due to production technology and vulnerability. Made of matte earthenware with a pattern of deepened hand-painted dots in different sizes, which are glazed white.
