The CH28P lounge chair by Hans J. Wegner is the essence of excellent craftsmanship and comfort. Wegner’s predilection for creating the perfect balance between form and function is clear to see in its elegant design elements and carefully considered details. The armrests are carefully rounded and Wegner has created an interesting dynamic between the slender, sweeping seat, the curved backrest and the rounded legs. This is for a beautiful original vintage chair with a solid oak frame, a teak veneered backrest, and a leather-upholstered seat. Characteristic of all Wegner designs is the chair’s clean lines and sleek form, resulting in a typical and archetypal Hans Wegner design. Sculptural, functional, and exceptionally comfortable, the CH28 showcases Wegner’s remarkable sense of form and his experimental nature. The condition of this chair is very good, a restoration on the leg and minor signs of use and age-related wear.Professionally executed restoration on the front leg is visible but not disturbing.
