One of André Dieteren's better known works. The work called "The Island in the Sun 1" from 1981. This is number 11 out of a total of 100 silkscreens. This work (one of the 100) also hangs in the Museum van Bommel van Dam, Venlo. (See website of the museum). The work is professionally framed and ready to hang.

André Dieteren (Schinnen, 1943) studied art in Maastricht and Antwerp. From 1986 to 2001 he taught at the Academie Beeldende Kunst Maastricht, autonomous art department. Solo exhibitions in, among others, Stedelijk Museum Roermond (1995), Museum van Bommel van Dam, Venlo (2008), Kunstverein Reutlingen, Germany (2012).
