Mid-century Sommerso rectangular glass vases, possibly attributed to Mandruzzato and made in Murano, Italy around the 1950s or 60s. This beautiful collector's item features vibrant Sommerso layers in shades of blue, encased in clear glass. The elegant and modernist rectangular shape, with a nice sturdy weight, makes it a unique piece. In excellent vintage condition, with only a tiny barely visible nick on one edge. Dimensions: 15.2 cm high x 4.2 cm wide x 4.2 cm deep. Rounded square opening approximately 3.25 cm wide. Founded in 1956 on Murano, Mandruzzato is known for its craftsmanship in glass production, with the Sommerso technique that creates contrasting colors and clear layers.
